18 hole overview

The Gastein Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Austria: in 1960, architect Bernhard von Limburg created a 9-hole course at the gateway to the Hohe Tauern National Park. It was not until 42 years later that it was extended to 18 holes and - as golfers confirm time and again - perfectly adapted.

Spectacular and picturesquely beautiful: the 18 holes demand full concentration despite the imposing mountain backdrop. Enjoyable golf is the order of the day on the fair course on the valley floor in the Gastein Valley. Holes 1 to 9 offer generous fairways and large greens, some of which are more undulating. The par 5s in particular (holes 3, 7 and 8) are a real challenge. Holes 10 to 18 are rather short, but have smaller greens and narrower fairways, which requires a precise game.

The successful alternation between hilly fairways and plains, slopes and relaxing fairways make the course so varied for all ages and playing levels. Old trees, many small mountain streams and the dense alluvial forest promise an unforgettable experience, and not just from a sporting point of view. The perfectly manicured fairways and greens and the breathtaking, unique views from every tee shot in all directions are also unforgettable.
